Call to Worship
Pastor: When Jesus was baptized, God let it be known that Jesus was his Son with whom he was well pleased.
People: Those watching saw the Holy Spirit descend upon Jesus in the form of a dove.
Pastor: His baptism represents not only God's anointing of the Holy Spirit, but also Jesus' acceptance of the ministry for which God anointed him.
People: We thank God for Jesus' ministry in which he remained faithful to his baptism.
