Object: A driver's license.

Good morning, boys and girls. I want to tell you a little story this morning that I think you will really like. But first you must look at something I brought with me and tell me what it is. (Take out your driver's license and show them.) Do you know what this is? (Let them answer.) That's right, a driver's license. I suppose you know that you must have one of these to drive a car, don't you? (Let them answer.) It doesn't teach you how to drive, but you must have one of these if you are going to drive. It is official, and if you drive a car without a license, you can be arrested and fined a lot of money. It doesn't make any difference how well you drive, or if you don't have an accident. You must have a license.
