There are living saints, though the supply may be limited. And, yes, there are dead saints -- those who have passed from the church militant to the church triumphant.
This is All Saints Sunday -- and on this day we celebrate the memory of those of our membership who have passed into glory during this past year. Actually, All Saints Day is November 1st. This Christian festival, which is celebrated world-wide, originated in the seventh century. At that time, Pope Boniface IV, converted the Pantheon in Rome into a Christian place of worship.
