Good morning, boys and girls. I brought a ball with me today. We aren't going to throw it though. We're just going to talk about it. How many of you like to play ball? (Wait for show of hands.) Can you hit the ball with a bat? (Response) It's fun to play baseball or softball. It's fun to see how far you can hit the ball. How far can you hit it? (Response) Some of you can hit it pretty far.
