Object: Some oil and a hinge

Good morning, boys and girls. Do any of you have a squeaky door at your house? (Let them answer.) Does it make a lot of noise? (Let them answer.) I have a real squeaky door at my house. It’s kind of scary when I am the only one in the house, and it’s real quiet, and then suddenly I hear the door squeak. What a noise! Now, of course, I could do something about the squeaky door if I wanted to, and I think I will when I go home today. All I need to do is put some oil on the hinges and the creepy noise will go away.

I will tell you why I thought about my door when you hear the story I have to tell you today. It’s about Jesus and the storm on the sea.
