This week we celebrate Memorial Day. While Memorial Day is a holiday for people like you and me, it is also kind of a warning. Memorial Day tells us about all of the men who died as soldiers fighting for their country. It is a warning about what happens when men cannot solve their problems by talking and listening. When they can't, they start fighting and the fighting gets worse until someone dies. We always pray that each war will be the last one ever fought, but somehow we forget and others forget the warning of how horrible war is for people.
