Today we have the coincidence of two celebrations: Trinity Sunday and Senior Graduation Sunday.
Since last December we’ve retold the old, old story of Jesus and his love. We’ve had another opportunity to experience God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The church has designated today “Trinity Sunday.”
For this congregation today is also observed as Senior Graduation Sunday. We recognize the accomplishment and the passage of those who have been nurtured and formed within the life of this church family – or as I put it last Sunday, by “Mother Church.”
These graduates are about to leave us. Yes, they’ll come back to visit, but they and we will have changed. We pray God has used us to prepare them for this next phase of their life. So what do we pray they have received and take with them?
