Some scientists are elated because this may be a step toward treating diseases like Parkinson's, cancer, and Alzheimer's. Others are appalled that this may be a step toward cloning of human beings. The question of the future, said one scientist ten years ago, is not as in the past what can humankind do, but among so many options, what will we choose to do. Science can give us choices, but only faith can help us make the right ones.
