Parents: This week's Gospel provides an excellent opportunity for you to strengthen family unity and to encourage real "family spirit" in your children. First, read and discuss the Gospel lesson for today. Ask your children to tell you what they think Jesus meant by his words. How did Jesus recognize members of his family? What did Jesus expect of members of his family? Do your children think that they would qualify? Now ask your children if they think there are any ways in which they could become better members of Jesus' family and your own family at the same time.
