PRAYER OF CONFESSION
God our Savior, you have promised us eternal life for following the good Shepherd, your Son Jesus Christ. In the confidence that you will not let us perish, we acknowledge that we are not worthy of your care and do not follow Jesus as nearly as we should. Forgive our sins for his sake that we may rejoice with all angels and martyrs around your heavenly throne: "Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb." Amen.
