Dynamics Of Prayer
Isaiah 43:1-13
Sermon
by Maxie Dunnam

Our scripture lesson this morning comes from the 43rd chapter of Isaiah, the first three verses.  “But now thus says the Lord who created you, oh Jacob.  He who formed you, oh Israel.  Fear not for I have redeemed you.  I have called you by name.  You are mine.  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you.  When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flames shall not consume you, for I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your savior.  I give Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Sheba in exchange for you because you are precious in my eyes.”  That’s the word of the Lord for you and me today.  Let us pray.

Come Holy Spirit, heavenly dove, with all your quickening powers.  Come shed abroad a Savior’s love…
