Good morning, boys and girls! I have with me a picture of a gentleman who lived many, many years ago -- even before Jesus. Who do you think this is? (Show them the picture. Let them guess.) Those are good guesses. This man is Moses. What do you know about Moses? (Let them give some answers.) Those are pretty good answers. Moses was a great leader of his people. God called him to help get the chosen people out of Egypt where they were slaves to the Pharaoh. Do you know what a slave is? (Let them answer.) That's right -- being a slave was a terrible thing. The chosen people wanted to be free so they could go back to their homeland.
