Object: A yardstick plus a ruler for each child

Have any of you ever been measured to find out how tall you are? We could do that this morning. Let me use my yardstick to find out how tall a few of you are. When we are young, we want to be as tall as we can be. We might stand on our tiptoe to make ourselves taller. As we become adults we discover that it is not what we look like on the outside that counts, but what we have on the inside. Some of the most remarkable people who have ever lived have been very short.
