Sample bulletin for special confessional service for Ash Wednesday, based on the Ten Commandments
Note: St. Paul says that a person ought to examine himself before he comes to the Lord's Table. St. John instructs that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and will forgive us all of our iniquities. Martin Luther, in the Catechism, suggests that we examine our lives in the light of the Ten Commandments. In view of the instructions listed above we will use the following confessional service, following the outline suggested by the Ten Commandments.
