Good morning, boys and girls. Today I have a wonderful story to tell you about a great marriage.

How many of you know what a marriage is when I use this word? (Let them answer.) We all know what a marriage is between a father and mother, but I want to tell you about a marriage between people who write songs. This is a different kind of marriage since the people don’t live together but only work with each other.

One of the greatest marriage in writing a song took place hundreds of years ago when the best known poet, Mr. Issac Watts, and the most famous musician, Mr. George Handel, sat down to write a Christmas carol.
