Catch an Eye

A three-year-old girl and her dad went to a kiddy park in Dallas to ride the rides. Dad put her on a small ride which she insisted on trying even though it was the "scariest." As she whipped around the corners in the kiddy car, she wrinkled up her face into a terrified cry. Her dad tried to catch her attention, and when she finally caught his eye, he was smiling and shouting, "Hey, this is fun!" When she saw that her dad was not terrified, but smiling, she also began to laugh. What was once terrifying, became enjoyable--even fun!

Our Heavenly Father will also "put us on some scary rides" in life, not really to terrify us, but to cause us to catch His eye, to teach us that He is in control and we can trust Him.
