Boys and girls, it is good to see you in church today. I am glad you are here. Today I want to show you something. Who can tell us what this is? (Let them answer.) Right. It is a brick.

Who can tell us what we use bricks for? We use bricks to build things don’t we? I know you have seen many brick buildings. [Our church is made of bricks.]

I used to be the pastor of a church which was made out of rocks. They were large stones from a farm just outside of town. Many buildings today are made of brick, though.
