Narrator 1: Once upon a time, there lived a clan of humanlike creatures who had some rather unusual physical and mental features. The people of Nod had bodies like yours and mine in many ways. Their heads, trunks, legs, and arms were normal-looking, although admittedly, they did have very large elephant-like ears.

(Nods show themselves off — demonstrating poses as would a ballet dancer, a weight lifter, or a model.)
