Objects: A doll baby and a real baby.

Good morning, boys and girls. Today we are going to take a look at a man who was very important to Jesus and to the whole Church. His name was John the Baptizer and he was a cousin of Jesus. His mother and Mary, the mother of Jesus were related. John was a little older than Jesus and grew up in a different town or village. One day when he received a call from God, he listened to it. John was asked by God to get things ready for Jesus so that when Jesus began to teach and preach there would be some people ready to listen to him. John did his job well and when Jesus began his work there were some men and women who followed him who had already been followers of John the Baptizer.
