Good morning, boys and girls. Today is one of the most special days in the year. How many of you know what about the Fourth of July is so special? [Let them answer.] That's right, it is the birthday of our country, the United States of America. It makes you feel good to know that we have such a wonderful nation and that so many people today are in worship services like this one, to thank God for helping us to be a better nation. A lot of people are working as hard to make the United States a great nation today as the men and women worked hard over 200 years ago.
