Prayer
Father, like the first disciples, our understanding is in part and too shallow to sustain us. Our strength fails, and our witness falls silent. Jesus said he would send what you promised. Let it be so. Clothe us with power from on high. Open our minds to understanding, and empower us to be your witnesses, beginning in our community and extending to all nations. Amen.
