[A Drama for One Player and a Small "Audience"]

This sketch is almost impossible to produce without an elaborate stage setup. If you have a stage, enjoy yourself; this can be a great deal of fun. If you do not, this play may also be used for reading and discussion groups.

Player: [A man, standing on a slightly raised platform, made to look as much like a high mountain as possible] My friends, we gather here now to bid one another "farewell."

Audience Person 1: ‘Bye!

Player: I, well, yes - it is time for me to leave you.

A. P. 2: Please don’t go!

A. P. 3: Ah, let him go!

Player: You must be sad.

A. P. 3: Who’s sad?

A. P. 2: Please, you can’t leave us.

A. P. 1: Sure he can.
