Gospel: Matthew 5:1-12
1. Disciples (v. 1). The Beatitudes are addressed to the disciples of Jesus, not to the public. A disciple is one who believes in Jesus, one who takes up his cross and follows. Christians are blessed or happy people. Does the average Christian convince you of this?
