Good morning, boys and girls. I have something with me that is very precious. It is on this little card, but it means a lot to me and I would not trade it or do without it for almost anything. Can you guess what I have written on this card? (Let them answer.) I don't think you will ever guess it so I am going to read it. (Read the recipe until someone tells you what you are doing or mentions the word recipe.) That's right, this is a recipe and it is a good one. This is my grandmother's recipe for apple strudel cake and I am just crazy about it. It is so special that I keep it in a very safe place.
