When Bill Fuqua was fourteen-years old, he decided to stand utterly motionless for a long period of time in a public place-just to see what type of reactions he’d get. His curiosity definitely paid off. One lady, for example, walked by him, stared, then touched him. When her action brought no response, she actually remarked, "Oh, I thought it was a real person!"
Since then, Bill has advanced to the point where he now holds the world’s record for doing nothing. On one occasion, he stood motionless for ten hours and six minutes to earn his place in the GUINESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS.
