(2) The fifth of the six sons of Simeon, also known as “Zerah” (Gen. 46:10; Exod. 6:15). (3) According to a textual correction (Qere reading), a descendant of Judah (1 Chron. 4:7). The Kethib reading is “Izhar” (followed by the NRSV; KJV: “Jezoar”).
