Saint Teresa was approached by a young nun once and this young woman was confessing her sins. This young nun was overcome with grief over her sin and then Saint Teresa said something profound and liberating to her. “Sister,” she said to this young nun, “We know that none of us is perfect. Take care that your sins don’t turn into bad habits.”
