The Center for Business Initiative of the Self-Employed reports that two-thirds of those who seek advice in setting up their own business require psychological help to calm their fears regarding the tax authorities. One of the crucial factors in an entrepreneur’s decision to open a business is revulsion from contact with the tax authorities, a form of “taxphobia.”
